Q - I was charged with an assault but the charges were withdrawn and I agreed to a peace bond. I recently got myself into a bit of trouble and that past offence is still showing up. Does this go away on its own or will this just stay on there forever?
 
A – Even if your criminal charge for assault was withdrawn, if you were fingerprinted then it can be seen in a criminal background check.  It's best to get a file destruction to remove your prints so that in the future your criminal charge cannot be seen by the public.
